Have a question about High Spirits or Toastmasters? Check here for answers.

Ready to join High Spirits?  Follow these steps.

1. Visit a High Spirits meeting.  We welcome everyone.
Please contact us here to let us know you are coming. Check out our calendar and directions

2. At the meeting, fill out your contact information in our guest book and let our Vice President of Membership know you'd like to join.  The VP will answer any questions you have, give you a membership form, and email you about future meetings.

3. Fill out this form http://www.d4tm.org/Documents/400.pdf
and bring it to the next meeting with check, money order or cash for the initial membership fee. As of January 2008, the new member fee is $52 for six months, followed by $32 every six months.  The initial fee pays for your New Member Kit.  The ongoing fee includes a subscription to Toastmasters Magazine and your Toastmasters International Membership.   Because High Spirits is hosted by NDNU, our fees are among the lowest in the Bay Area.

Once You've Joined...

Ask the VP of Membership to assign to you a mentor.  Feel free to ask your mentor (or frankly, anyone in High Spirits) for guidance in getting comfortable in High Spirits, taking full advantage of the Toastmasters programs,  and achieving your goals.

You'll receive emails (or phone calls, if you don't have email) notifying you of future meetings and events.  We are all busy people, so we try to keep the email chatter to a minimum.

Within two weeks you will receive a New Member Kit, including educational workbooks that will help you gain the most out of the
Toastmasters experience.

Prepare your Ice Breaker speech!  Your Ice Breaker speech is a chance for you to tell us about a topic you know very well -- yourself.  Your New Member Kit and accompanying workbooks provide tips and guidelines for this opportunity to introduce yourself in front of a very supportive audience.

Achieve your goals!  Let the VP of Education know what you want to achieve.  He or she will assign you roles in our meetings to make sure you have every opportunity to meet your goals.
